Here are some of the questions we are frequently asked.
How often should I clean my pool?
We recommend a weekly pool cleaning schedule.
How often should I back wash?
Back washing the pool cleans particles that are trapped in the pool filter. Pools should be backwashed twice a month in the summer and once every 6 weeks in winter.
How long should my pump run?
Depending on the size of the pool, the pump should run 8 – 12 hours a day in the summer.
My pool has a green tint. How do I clear it up?
Green tint is usually a sign of algae. Adding shock to the pool and allowing system to run during the hottest portion of the day will assist in reducing the algae.
Why do I have algae if the pool has chlorine in it?
This could be caused by a variety of things, but the most common are the pump is not running long enough during the day. There could also be a problem with the pool equipment. The impeller may have debris in it that is causing the circulation to be reduced to a minimum. Contact one of our technicians to help you diagnose the problem.
